Sourdough Strawberry Cobbler Recipe

Ingredients

– 1 lb ground beef or sausage – 1 small onion, chopped – 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese – 1/2 cup Bisquick mix – 1 cup milk – 2 eggs – 1/2 tsp salt – 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Grease a 9-inch pie dish or small casserole dish to prevent sticking and help with even cooking.

In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and chopped onion until browned. Drain excess fat and season with salt and pepper.

Spread the cooked meat mixture evenly into the prepared dish, then sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top for a cheesy layer.

In a bowl, whisk together Bisquick mix, milk, and eggs until smooth. The batter should be pourable with no lumps remaining.

Pour the Bisquick mixture gently over the meat and cheese. Don’t stir—it will form a fluffy crust on top while baking.

Bake for 25–30 minutes until golden and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. The casserole should puff slightly and set.

Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing. Serve warm for breakfast, lunch, or dinner—it’s savory, satisfying, and impossibly easy!
